Intel announced the availability of its third generation vPro processors that now combine the recently launched twenty-two nm Ivy Bridge main.
Compared to the consumer-focused Core i5 and i7 CPUs, the i5 and i7 vPro series serves to the company integration of computers and comes with a series of virtualization, security and management features. Intel said that vPro processors are required to become available for laptop computers, ultrabooks, desktops, workstations and all-in-one PCs in the near future.
The latest vPro generation includes Intel’s Identity Protection Technology with public key infrastructure (Intel IPT with PKI) that utilizes a key stored in a PC’s firmware to authenticate the best consumer as well as OPERATING-SYSTEM Guard and Secure Key element support that is designed to prevent data reduction and help defend your computer system against malware.
The security software security is tightly included in the vPro series now and includes tools such as ePO Deep Command for secure data exchange. Part of the deal is also Intel’s Active Management Technology that permits remote management of PCs as well as support for as much as three exterior displays.
