The acquisition of Nukona runs Symantec’s enterprise mobility collection to add a cross-platform mobile application protection solution to help organizations protect and isolate corporate data and applications across both corporate and business owned and personally possessed devices. The acquisition of Nukona complements Symantec’s prior acquisition of Odyssey Software program, a leading provider of mobile device management (MDM). By providing both MDM and MAM across multiple platforms, Symantec is supporting CIOs address the “Bring Your Own Device” pattern by satisfying the needs of their employees to work with the devices and programs of their choice. These acquisitions further advance Symantec’s enterprise range of motion leadership by boosting capacities for mobile device, app and data protection.
